I’m a Venezuelan/Puerto Rican writer/photographer based in Virginia. I began writing short stories when I was ten years old and at the age of thirteen, declared that I was going to be a writer. I wrote for various online music magazines in my teens and then decided against higher education in order to begin working on my novel, an introspective work that I’ve worked on since 2007.
I began to explore photography as a creative outlet during the winter of 2022 after buying a half frame camera on a whim. Always a writer, I admired photography from afar. I felt like the world of photography wasn’t meant for me. It was too expensive, too esoteric, and too intimidating. After feeling a deep connection with the process and the half frame camera, the self-imposed wall came down. I centered my focus on photography and began to explore a new medium.
Boundless in style and curious in approach, I aim to merge two creative worlds to create work that is unique to my time, place, and sensibility. Whether as a writer or photographer, I attempt to create work that is reflective of the human condition and how we exist in a challenging world.
I plan to share snippets from the novel, short stories, musings, ideas, photographs, and anything else that comes to mind.
Great writing. It an awesome narrative. Excellent. Love it.
Excited to hear your unique voice in the world!
